Clinical Applications
Traditional: Qi and blood deficiency, dizziness. Dry and lusterless skin, distention in the lower abdomen, emaciation, gastrointestinal weakness, generalized weakness occurring after a major illness, irritability, lazy speech, lightheadedness, pale complexion, pale tongue with a white coating, palpitations, poor appetite, shortness of breath, thin frail or large deficient weak pulse, thirst, uterine bleeding, weak extremities that fatigue easily. Modern: Anemia, chronic hepatitis, chronic illness, chronic ulcer, deficiency post-surgery or postpartum, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, erratic complaints, fatigue, habitual miscarriage, immune deficiency, lumbago, menstrual irregularities, nervous exhaustion, non-healing ulcers, side effects of chemotherapy, uterine bleeding, weakness during convalescence.
Do not use in the early phase of an exterior or excess pattern. Use with caution in patients with digestive weakness.
