MyAcu acupuncture needles are crafted using high-quality Japanese medical steel wire, oil-tempered for increased strength. They undergo meticulous shaping, cutting, and polishing to maintain exceptional sharpness, undergoing rigorous four-stage quality control.

Medical-grade silicone oil, similar to that used in surgical equipment, is applied to the needles toenhance needling ease for practitioners and patient comfort.

1. We use Japanese medical steel wire which is oil-tempered to increase its strength. This is stretched and shaped before being cut and polished to a very fine taper, and goes through its first quality control check

2.Next the needle is connected to the handle. Our handles are not electroplated with copper, as this process produces toxic chemical byproducts. Then the needles are ‘washed’ with ultrasound which removes dust, oil or any other manufacturing debris.

3. Then the needles are coated in a medical grade silicone oil, the same material used on scalpers and other surgical equipment. This facilitates ease of needling for the practitioner and a relaxing treatment experience for the patient.

4. After another quality control check they are packed into boxes, after which the boxes, packaging and needles themselves are all sanitized using either EO gas or gamma radiation.
